25 Random Things About Me…
1. I do not have any vaccinations at all. Nor even for yellow fever and I have been spending several weeks in the jungle every year for the last 7 years.
2. I have never broken a bone nor been hospitalized, which makes me really afraid of pain.
3. I can eat non stop all day long.
4. When I was 5 years old I decided I would not have children of my own, but adopt. There are already too many children suffering without parents.
5. I don’t eat chocolate or sweets very often. Maybe one every month or none for a couple months. I don’t like sweets very much.
6. When I was 5 I had a dream with my great grandmother who had died in China, and I didn’t even know about her, nor seen a picture of her in my life. But it was her and Jesus in heaven. I knew after the dream because my grandmother showed me a picture of her she had locked in a locked drawer in a locked closet. My uncle had traveled and shared the gospel, but she died before they could tell if she accepted Jesus. The dream was a double confirmation. She did accept Jesus and I knew Jesus was real and not a fairy tale and I became a Christian.
7. My first existential crisis was when I was 8 years old; I thought my parents were neither real nor related to me, etc. I got over it in a supernatural way.
8. This is my favorite number: 8, I was born the 8th day of the 4th month in ’84.
9. While in Arequipa, I was bitten and marked (aka peed on) as “territory” of a male rabbit at the Girls’ Home once (and also stalked by a male llama at the Hotel in the Colca Valley).
10. I can wear the same dresses I wore 10 years a go.
11. I have eaten boa, alligator, a 1 foot tall type of rat from the jungle, and guinea pig, but I can’t stand pumpkin pie in my mouth.
12. One of my eye brows is higher than the other, making me look like I have a questioning stare, but I’m not.
13. I’m allergic to alcohol.
14. I have always liked school, all the subjects, the idea of having knowledge itself made me feel passion inside since I was a kid.
15. I like cleaning.
16. I can cook, chat, translate while I watch a movie and do my make up all at the same time but I can also just sit and let time pass by doing nothing and enjoy it as well.
17. I like to meditate and ask God about specific things. What is love? What is beauty for? Etc.
18. I have no idea how I got to learn English without taking a class.
19. I enjoy having friends and from all ages and hanging out with them, from 5 to over 70 year old.
20. I believe dating is training for divorce.
21. If a friend needs me, they know they can find me and they can count on me any time of the day or night.
22. I love chick flicks, but I can also enjoy a Dirty Jobs marathon.
23. Once I was close to death, on the road going from Peru to Ecuador and the first thing that came to mind was “Who will take this food to my uncle? I should leave a post it with his address in case I die in the way… crap!”
24. If I was to die today, I’d be fine with it.
25. I can never tell right from left, I have to look at my hands first.
