My Lifestory (short version)
Born April 8th, 1984 in Chaclacayo and lived in Lima, PERU so far.
I’m the 4th out of 5 kids in a Christian home, but never forced to be christian
(one of the best things my mom could have done for me). I had a supernatural experience that lead me to receive Jesus as my Lord and Saviour at age 5. It was so real to me that when I met non Christian cousins at age 6, I shared and lead them to receive Jesus too.
One of my many dreams when I was a kid was to become a schollar. I day dreamed with a library with books covered walls, spending hours there acquiring knowledge …I thought that would be really cool and God would be glorified too.
Somehow, that was exactly what I could not do. My family went through a lot of financial hardship, and I couldn’t go to school as a normal kid would. Sometimes, we didn’t have food to eat, and we moved pretty often too. Still, even though I had my first existencial crisis when I was 8 years old, I knew who God was and He kept us through it all.
When I was 18, I went to the jungle on a mission’s trip. That got me started on interpreting, although I never planned it, nor even studied english formally. It has been 7 and a half years since then. Now I also translate written materials like letters, manuals, etc. I have translated a book and I am working on another one.
I do work interpreting and translating, but that does not cover all my expenses. I am blessed with some support as missionary in my own country and that allows me to keep serving and provide for my family. Still, I have not had the chance to study yet. I feel like God gave me the gift to speak english, and therefor I do not see myself using it to work and simply make money. It just makes sense that just as I receieved by grace, I give by grace as well.
I have served in many different ministries: Children’s, Drama, Youth, Missions, Evangelism, Social work, Dance… Pretty much I believe that when you have received the love of God you will want to do anything to serve Him, and do it well. Also, I think it is like working out, the more you exercise it, the stronger you get.
I have been to the US twice, Colombia twice and Ecuador about 7 times.
I feel lmy life is like:
1 Corinthians 15:10
John 3:8
Romans 8:28
I will do anything to help others. I feel like if I was to die today, I would not regret it. I know I try to live with joy but I make mistakes all the time, and God helps me out of each one of them. I live fighting pain with joy.
