Glad this day is over

I am going on a mission’s trip with my church. I am teaching about evangelistic drama there.
And presenting a skit.

So getting ready for it…yesterday was a very interesting day.

In the morning Rocio and I were chatting and designed a print for balloons we were going to get downtown. Then I tried to print it, but didn’t make it… So I walked to an internet place to print it and then walked/ran a little more to meet with Rocio to actually go downtown.

We got in a bus, it was so so so hot.  Basically we had to get 300 printed balloons, 300 sticks for the balloons, .
So what we did was order the balloons and they said it would take 2 hours. Rocio is soon getting married, and we thought we could use some time to hang out and check some wedding supplies stores :) So we did… we crossed the Abancay Av. and spent some time there. We were so sleepy by the way. Non of us had slept well…
We thought we might as well deserve a drink or ice cream. Ah! We got close to the Main Square and found…. Tada!!! A strike!!!

So the Main Square was closed. Nor even pedestrians could go through. Rocio was on the phone asking our leader if we could use some money for an ice cream. A bunch of people was standing on the street yelling their strike lines… the cars were all stopped… and then…oh… an Ambulance came! And got stuck along with all the other cars.
Then, the ambulance gop on the sidewalk! And started going through there…. yay!! Good call… until… a piece of a man who was standing there… did not want to move!!! He started yelling at the ambulance. Saying it was wrong to get on the sidewalk!!!

Oh my… I could not believe it!!! Of course… if you know me… you know what happened…

The End.

:P Actually not.
What happened after is, that I hurried to where this piece of man was standing and started yelling the crap out of him. And he of course yelled back at me… and of course he was twice my size… and of course backed up…
All this time Rocio was on my phone talking with our leader. She had the strike yelling, the ambulance sirene, the piece of man yelling and my yelling all in the back. And she said “Vero, wait, Ines is fighting a man… and he’s way bigger than her…although she already made him back up…I’ll call you back”

So, after making the piece of man back up. I went back to Rocio, and we kept going in our walk.
We tried to go in the Man Square area but most of entrances were closed with lots of people strking there. Then we found a place where the police asked where were you going before letting you in.
We did a line and got through. Sitting in a restaurant to share one lunch meal, Rocio called our leader again.
“Vero, I will tell you something, but, don’t get agitated… hmm… the police took Ines in… remember I told you she was fighting a man because of an ambulance? Well the took her in and did not let me go with her… I was calling you, that’s why I had her phone with me…. … … Vero… can we go to Bembos for ice cream?”

Ji Ji Ji…. It was fun. After that we spend another couple hours and a LOT of blocks walked before going home. And I barely had time to take a 10 min shower and then go to Church again to teach a drama skit I didn’t even know myself very well. And a meeting after that…

Today… Spanish class… record a video for Church (I will appear in all 6 services…:P) Drama practice…interpreters meeting… home finally at 10pm.

  4. Yes, Indeed, I know you both for some years now, SO you TWO… Like Inés directing the traffic for the ambulance to go by… Like Rocio having a nice enjoyable conversation in the middle of war… Nice recording of events… May the Lord bless you more, and teach those unteachable a lesson.
